Torrents

Introduction

If your installation CD is damaged, we can send you a backup copy over the internet. Usually, this is a lot faster and more reliable than sending a replacement disk by post.

If you are new to torrents, this is an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with an increasingly popular file sharing technology, that can be used to download lots and lots of goodies.

BitTorrent is a peer-to peer-file sharing protocol, that is used to distribute large amounts of data. We create the torrents ourselves, and host them on this site.

You will need to install a BitTorrent client on your PC, in order to download one of them. We recommend BitTorrent itself, which is the one that we use.

Finally, not everyone can handle torrents. If you prefer, we can always send you a disk in the post.

Instructions

In order to download one of the torrents:

  1. Click on one of the links in the list below. Your client should then take over. If it does not, then you probably have not installed it correctly.
  2. Use the form at the bottom to request seeding. This will send us an email asking us to start seeding the torrent. Once we start seeding, the download will begin.
  3. A typical download will take between one and two hours, depending on your internet connection. When it has finished, you should delete the torrent. The file will be available in your download folder.

You can pause a download, and resume it later - but please tell us first. Otherwise we are likely to stop seeding, and you will not be able to finish the download.
