Sage Integration

Sage SDK

We cannot support Sage products directly, because of the high price of their SDK. Currently a license just to cover Sage Instant and Sage 50 costs £1500+VAT per annum. This cost inevitably gets passed on to Sage customers, in the form of more expensive add-ons.

Because of this cost we are forced to use add-ons ourselves, rather than developing our own solution. I would normally consider the Order Importer to be a very expensive product for what it does, but the price is probably justified by the cost of the SDK.

Customer History Order Importer

Orders can be downloaded from our server and imported into Sage 50 and Sage Instant using the WebXel Order Importer. This is a third party product that acts as a bridge between our server and Sage.

Once you have installed the Order Importer, run and start the Job Wizard. On the fourth page, choose the HTTP option.

Then on the fifth page you enter the following URLs:

  1. http://www.vanware.co.uk/admin/sage1.php?companyId=NNN&password=PPP
  2. http://www.vanware.co.uk/admin/sage2.php?companyId=NNN&password=PPP

Where NNN is your company Id and PPP is the password. You will then be able tro use the program to pull orders down from our server, and push them into Sage.

The Order Importer is not a free product. It currently costs £100+VAT per annum.
